FoodLogiQ receives 2016 Supply & Demand Chain Executive Green Supply Chain Award

Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the executive's user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation, has selected FoodLogiQ as a recipient of an SDCE Green Supply Chain Award for 2016.

The Green Supply Chain Award recognizes companies making green or sustainability a core part of their supply chain strategy, as well as providers of supply chain solutions and services assisting their customers in achieving measurable sustainability goals. This year's ninth-annual awards recognize companies like FoodLogiQ that leveraged green practices and solutions to further drive sustainable improvements in their supply chain.

Food for Thought: Improving Food Sustainability

The top brass of major food and agriculture companies have come together to release a new call to action on improving sustainability across the food supply chain, publishing “Food for Thought: A Call to Action on the Future of Sustainable Agriculture.” The report presents examples of how leading food companies are making important strides in sustainability, while calling for increased efforts across the industry. 

Whole Foods "Responsibly Grown" sustainability program on CNBC

This week CNBC featured Whole Foods Market for its ability to recognize both non-organic and organic produce suppliers as being "Responsibly Grown" -- a program that rates produce and floral suppliers on a variety of sustainability practices to assign them a "Good, Better or Best" rating and offer their customers transparency into their supply chain.
