Taking Pride and Putting the Customer First

Welcome to “In the Spotlight,” our blog series that introduces you to the many different FoodLogiQ team members who play an important role in our company’s success.  Today’s spotlight is on Christa Brice, who joined FoodLogiQ in December 2018 as a Technical Support Representative on our Customer Success team. In April 2019, she was promoted to Customer Support/Managed Services Lead.  In addition to her stellar problem-solving skills, she’s got phenomenal style and personality.

Tell us about your role at GS1.  How did it help to prepare you for working with customers at FoodLogiQ?

ChristaAt GS1, I was a Technical Support Agent for 1WorldSync (the GDSN data pool). 1WorldSync is a product content network provider enabling more than 25,000 global companies in over 60 countries to share authentic, trusted content with customers and consumers. Working at GS1 gave me insight into the complexity of the world’s supply chain and how important the work of the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) is. It also helped me understand the value of GTINs and GLNs and how they help identify products and locations, which is what our customer’s use every day here at FoodLogiQ.

What is a typical day like for you at FoodLogiQ?

Teamwork is extremely important to me, so at the beginning of each day, I always check in with our Customer Success teammates to see if anyone needs help or has a particular issue or problem that I can help solve.  I juggle projects and meetings while monitoring the ticket queue to address customer questions. I distribute those tickets among our team, and we strive to be as responsive and reliable as possible. Our customers are depending on us, and we aim to deliver.

What do you like most about your job?

I love being in the office with all my coworkers; we’re like a family.  I like our culture, the collaborative atmosphere, and the creative freedom we have to think outside the box to find solutions for our customers, internal and external.

What is your personal "why?"  What drives you?

Walt Disney once said, “Do what you do so well that they will want to see it again and bring their friends.” I’m passionate about making sure the food we eat is safe, the product we develop is the best in its class, and the support our customers receive exceeds all expectations.  I love helping people; I feel it’s my ministry. I think I’m naturally gifted at serving in a support role, so I say to myself, “Embrace it and excel at it!”

What do you do in your down time? Do you have any special hobbies?

I like to relax by playing video games, from Atari to PlayStation 4.  And watch out - I love singing in the choir at church, my car or at karaoke! I enjoy checking out new movies and hanging out with ‘Team Brice’ - my friends and family.

What are your personal goals?

I want to excel in my position at FoodLogiQ, and I’m committed to doing my part to assure the success of the company and of our customers. I’m proud of our mission; we’re focused and we are dominating as a food safety leader in the food supply chain.  I feel like I joined FoodLogiQ at the right time. We have an impactful, extraordinary product, and I just want to be around as it takes off into the stratosphere!

Watch how FoodLogiQ is mapping the world's food supply chain and empowering people to make informed decisions about the food they eat.

Trust your food. FoodLogiQ.
