FoodLogiQ CMO Katy Jones Named Recipient of 2019 Triangle Business Journal 40 Under 40 Awards

Annual 40 Under 40 Leadership Awards honor the brightest, most promising young business people under the age of 40 in the Triangle

FoodLogiQ is proud to announce that Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer Katy Jones has been selected as a 2019 recipient of the Triangle Business Journal 40 Under 40 Awards.

The 40 Under 40 Awards recognize outstanding professionals under the age of 40 for their contributions to their organizations and to the community.  Six judges, made up of leaders in the local business community and TBJ leaders, pored over nearly 250 nominations to come up with the final list of 40 winners in the 2019 class.

“These winners reflect the entrepreneurial spirit and the economic prowess of the diverse community in which we live and work,” says TBJ Publisher Jason Christie. “The Triangle is a better place because of the efforts of these honorees. I’m proud to know that the future of this area is in such good hands.”

Since joining FoodLogiQ in 2015, Jones has served as a thought leader within the food industry, providing insight and education on the importance of supplier management and traceability across the food supply chain. She has held various leadership roles with increasing levels of responsibility at FoodLogiQ, including Vice President of Marketing, Chief Marketing Officer, and most recently, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer. In this position, Katy oversees all aspects of marketing and creates, communicates, executes, and sustains the strategic initiatives of the company’s cloud-based supplier transparency and traceability solution called FoodLogiQ Connect. Under Katy’s leadership, FoodLogiQ has consistently earned recognition and awards for innovation, performance and investor funding.

Katy holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in data marketing communications from West Virginia University.  In addition to her membership in the Chief Marketing Officer Club, she is a 2017 recipient of the Triangle Business Journal C-Suite Award.

As in years past, the TBJ 40 Under 40 winners are invited and encouraged to give back to the local community by participating in the publication’s 40 Under 40 Habitat build with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County.

“I’m deeply humbled to have been named to the TBJ’s 40 Under 40,” says Jones. “To be recognized among this group of talented young Triangle professionals is truly an honor, and I look forward to helping make our community a better place to live and work through my participation on the Habitat for Humanity project.”

This year’s class will be honored at an awards dinner June 27 at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh. The Triangle Business Journal will profile the winners in a special section that will be published in its June 28 subscriber edition.
