Company’s co-founder Andy Kennedy and Food Safety Solution Engineer Bryan Cohn to present at annual food conference
On December 5, 2018, the business schools of the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, and Duke University will co-sponsor FoodCon, an annual conference that celebrates the food and agri-business community in North Carolina. Its goal is to bring together a diverse audience of students, community members, and business professionals who have a shared interest in the sustainable food industry. Duke Fuqua’s MBA Food and Agriculture Club will host the 2018 event at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business.
This year’s conference theme is Food-Tech and will highlight robotics and automation, advances in biological sciences, and IoT. While some technological shifts in food come about to improve operations, others support the rapidly growing human population and changes to our environment. This conference will provide a business perspective on these new interactions between technology and food. Presentations will cover a variety of topics.
At 10:15 am, FoodLogiQ’s Food Safety Solution Engineer Bryan Cohn will serve on a panel discussing “Automation in Food Retail & Restaurants” alongside Jared Resnick, Chief Operating Officer, Precision Fermentation; Alison Acera, VP of Nutrition, Chowbotics; and Bart Creasman, Triangle Market Manager, Hungry Harvest. Meanwhile, FoodLogiQ co-founder Andy Kennedy will present the conference keynote address at 2 pm.
