Building a More Modern Approach to Food Safety at the 2021 Food Safety Summit

FoodLogiQ discusses modernized quality incident management and tech-enabled traceability at the 2021 Food Safety Summit.

Over 1,000 food safety professionals are virtually attending this year's annual Food Safety Summit to participate in educational sessions, network with other leaders in food safety, and learn from solution providers about the cutting-edge technologies available in the industry. FoodLogiQ is excited to present two forward-looking sessions as part of this year's event, taking place May 11th - May 13th.

On Tuesday, May 11th, FoodLogiQ's Chief Product Officer Todd Dolinsky and Director of Revenue and Product Marketing Kirstin Meyerhoeffer will speak at the Food Safety Summit Tech Tent. Entitled FSMA 204: Preparing for Tech-Enabled Traceability, their presentation will feature an overview of the proposed food traceability rule, strategies for preparing for the proposed recordkeeping requirements, and learnings on how brands can develop more advanced traceability programs.

"On September 21st, the FDA announced an important critical step forward in their efforts to bring about farm-to-table traceability in our food supply," says Meyerhoeffer. "This proposed rule, FSMA 204, lays the foundation for end-to-end food traceability across the food industry." At FoodLogiQ, we are partnering with brands to prepare for the proposed rule by accessing potential requirements and providing the technology necessary to enable full-chain traceability at scale.

Following the Tech Tent presentation, FoodLogiQ Customer Dine Brands Global will share insights on how their team has modernized quality incident management with FoodlogiQ Connect. Dine Brands Quality Assurance Specialist Jason Brown will present the Summit's Solutions Stage alongside FoodLogiQ’s Kirstin Meyerhoeffer.

Their presentation, Increasing Value Cross-Functionally with FoodLogiQ Connect, covers how brands have utilized cross-functional communication, from operations to leadership, to understand centralized supply chain management, as well as how processes started in FSQA can benefit the entire organization.

In addition to our educational presentations, FoodLogiQ will join other leading food safety companies with virtual booths in the Food Safety Summit Exhibit Hall to showcase current solutions in the industry. The exhibit hall provides an opportunity for attendees to explore innovative products and technologies in the industry and is open from 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm each day throughout the Summit.
