Food safety professionals to participate in 20th annual summit focused on food safety in the supply chain
FoodLogiQ, the leading SaaS provider of traceability, food safety and supply chain transparency solutions, today announced its participation in the 2019 Food Safety Summit, taking place May 6-9, 2019 at the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. More than 1,800 food safety professionals attend the Summit each year to take advantage of the extensive educational programming, as well as the exhibit halls where attendees can engage in small group discussions on the supply chain segments, attend free presentations by food safety experts, and network with peers.
On Wednesday, May 8, from 12 - 12:30 pm, FoodLogiQ’s Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer Katy Jones will speak on the Solutions Stage. Her presentation, entitled, “What Do Consumers Want in the Age of Transparency?” will focus on savvy consumers and their expectations when it comes to food safety.
“Consumers are more informed about the foods they eat than ever before,” says Jones. “Their instant access to information has led to more questions and a demand for more visibility into the food they purchase. FoodLogiQ polled over 2,000 U.S. consumers to gauge their sentiment around food traceability and their expectations for food companies regarding recalls, foodborne illness, labeling and much more. I look forward to sharing the results of this fascinating research.”
Meanwhile, on Thursday, May 9, from 1:45 - 2:15 pm, FoodLogiQ’s Food Safety Solution Engineer Bryan Cohn will take the stage at the Summit’s Tech Tent area. His presentation, “Supply Chain Technology: Solving Your Business Challenges (and Saving Your Sanity)” will focus on how technology can help food safety professionals streamline their supplier management program, ensure comprehensive supply chain visibility, and achieve whole chain traceability.
In addition to presenting during educational sessions, FoodLogiQ will join more than 130 of the world's leading food safety companies showcasing their solutions in the Food Safety Summit Exhibit Hall. The Hall is an essential resource for attendees that provides the opportunity to meet with companies introducing the latest products and technologies in food safety. The hall opens on Tuesday, May 7 from 5 - 7 pm with a Welcome Reception where attendees can connect with colleagues, set meetings, and get a sneak peek at the variety of products on display. The exhibit hall is then open on Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 9 from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm.
